Koketso Moeti has a long background in civic activism and has over the years worked at the intersection of governance, communication and citizen action. In 2019 she was announced as an Atlantic Fellow for Racial Equity. Koketso is also an inaugural Obama Foundation Fellow and an Aspen Institute New Voices Senior Fellow. She also serves as a reference group member of the Civic Tech Innovation Network and is the Deputy Chairperson of the SOS Coalition, a coalition of South African organisations committed to and campaigning for public broadcasting in the public interest. When not working, Koketso can be found writing and has been published by City Press, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Africa is a Country, Salon and the Mail & Guardian, among others.

Nombulelo is a promoter of good governance. Nombulelo has dedicated her career as an accountant and tax practitioner to the non-profit sector, with a focus on community development and advocacy. She is registered with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants (SAIPA) and completed her articles with SNG-Grant Thornton. Nombulelo has great experience in governance, financial management, local and international funding management and reporting, operations management, and stakeholder management.

Johannesburg-born civic entrepreneur Paul has spent the last 9 years working on campaigns in South Africa and abroad, connecting people with tools to make a difference. Paul specializes in crowdfunding, digital campaigning, and strategy. He previously worked in the aid and development sector where he helped run national advocacy campaigns on UN Millennium Development Goals as well as grassroots HIV/AIDS peer education programmes.

Tlou Seopa is a social activist with a Journalism background. She is a firm believer in the power of education and is actively involved in the Mamelodi Initiative where she volunteers to teach English. She believes that it is through being an active member of the community that an activist is able to shift social dynamics and narratives. She takes an interest in social advocacy, specifically for women, as she believes that women are powerful and are more than capable of changing South Africa, and the world for the better. She dedicates most of her spare time to reading.

Palesa Ramolefo is a black feminist from Soweto whose artivism (art & activism) works around shifting narratives about Africa; it’s Black women, children, and the LGBTQI+ community. A 2019 Amandla.mobi Campaigner Fellow and journalism graduate she aims to challenge power and re-imagine an Africa which is just and equal. Palesa has done work at the Soweto theatre as well as worked with a team on the Caster Semenya for Nike campaign with Elle Magazine.
